Lol I understand. Been through it all. Don't give in. You're stuck so not much you can do until you get your money's worth done from him. Henceforth, set a milestone for further payment. Otherwise you'll end up paying all of it upfront with a lot of work pending. Make sure you hold a certain sum to get you through the troubleshooting phase, be it a week or whatever.

Tweak Motorsports is highly recommended (they're in the same area) for troubleshooting and in case you want to shift the car to another place. They did all my post swap troubleshooting, to my entire satisfaction and are fairly reasonable / on time. That is in case you don't have another option and want to avail a tested one.

lol yea thanks for the heads-up, he has tried many times to expand the work and add more and more, but me being stubborn and I have dealt with these kinds before lol. I guess ill let him complete the header as he has started it, do you know any good exhaust guy (reasonable and good ?) I will reduce his work, he still needs to complete foundation as the first one he did was in the way of header, incomplete header and rear shockers and rest small things ill just pull the car from him he wont know what hit him till its too late :).

I need to complete the full piping i.e fuel, brake, steering. I also need to upgrade all the front bushes plus restrict movement of from wishbone mark2 is worst when it comes down to front suspension due to dual wish bone system, I need to restrict the movement of that wishbone so that they don't open up to their max, I may also face issues with steering as I have the box type one and play is common in these steering I don't have room for steering wrack may be EPS in future if that is doable, any advise on this ?

ill visit tweak motors, but again every mechanic will always criticize other mechanic work and they would like to redo all work in order to get as much as possible, that is the problem in Pakistan.

Salam bro, do you know any good electrician who can wire the ecu and set all wiring properly?

i think this guy got the hint that i am not being as friendly so has wasted last full week avoiding calls and today electrician was supposed to come i was waiting there or whole 2 hours and no show!!! its getting very annoying now.

Second question how to get my money back or get him to do the work that i have already paid for lol ?

Also the electrician referred in the above posts would be very far for you and you'll have to prolly tow the car there or send it on a truck (too much of a hassle considering the heat these days, if you're towing).

i dont remember the guys electrician name, i am out of country at the time being, i have picked up everything from him, he has my old diff, axle without hubs the axle were worn so i left it, took the crown pinion so i have been good in keeping track and taking things home.

the condenser you think is from a truck is not, its a generic universal serpentine condenser. If you planning to install an EPS into this car, DO NOT do it, the EPS torque sensor cannot cope with the steering gearbox central position slop that this sort of steering has. What will happen is that the EPS will try to apply assist as it wanders between the allowed freeplay in the central position.

Find a power steering gearbox for this car (they do exist) or get your fabbie to install a powered corona unit, Whoever does this job needs to be very skilled in designing vehicles. The ball point positions between the idler and pitman arms should be exactly the same. Dont try to run with a skewed drag link as it will cause incredibly scary situations at speed. (sometimes fatal too).

Furthermore whenever you work on a steer axle of a vehicle - measure 500 times and cut once.

Thank you for your message, i have already installed power box on this car, original corona one but obviously as you may know the power box has slight play they all do. i was just worried about the play as it may be dangerous on high speed

If you have really sloppy play (more than 2 inches) and it feels like dead play then your input worm (pinion) is bad, its best to find another box as that gear is very very expensive as spare part.

To make this car correctly safe - the alignment needs to be spot on so it can track dead on straight on its own, the toe is slightly inward in these so the car follows its center path. Oldschool alignment technicians knew how to adjust these cars, look for someone who aligns hiace etc for correct work.

it seems like you know what you are talking about, i bought the car with a power steering, i know it has slight play in it but i am not sure how to measure that accurately, once the car is up and running the first thing i want to get it checked is the steering, any place in mind ( i live in khi )
