Toyota Cressida GTX, Plannin to buy

Expert's opinion needed as I am plannin to buy a Toyota GTX as mentioned in the pics.
Its a 2.8l, 6 cylinder, RWD, LHD, Auto Tranny.
In gudd condition as lil rust is ther as it spent most of its life abroad lol.

Car looks a bit untidy as aint hav a service since a month nd pics were took in nite.

I wanna know abt the pros nd cons of this car, can it be converted to MT. Howz its perfomance nd wat shuld be the price tag.

yaar ive been seeing from a long time back on the road, iffe also knows about this car.
the engine is not orignal, it should hav a "GE" series engine, from a supra maybe, i think.......
its a LHD so it shud be around 450 to 5 max.

No the engine is original but not the top of the line. This model is from Saudi Arabia. It's a 145 hp EFI straight six. It's a very nice car.

Price is pretty much near the safety mark.

Head was replaced almost a yr back nd it was imported frm dubai.

I m thinkin to convert it to MT as I don lik AT as such although these days drivin a MT is a big challenge for daily drivin but still prefer MT. So, can it be converted to MT w/o ne big hassel.

boss no resale at all. i know i hav a very good experience of buyin an out of market car(some1 plz buy it;):P).
i wouldn't advise u to buy this car.

But in karachi's auto market every dealer nd every person says tht kay toyota paisay day kar jati hay. But infact never saw tht happen except for the dealers.

@GTiR, howz iffi bhai. On tht show day, I went atleast after 3 hours after ya left becuz of tht key thing, found one car lock mechanic near kala pul after a hectic search. Memorable experiance... Boss I wanna sale ma Nissan's double cab 86', if neone interested do temme..

It is one tough car had one and this was my 1st car that I drove but if you want to convert it I say no. Do not buy it! But if you do buy it I get you all the parts from dubai to convert to RHD and MT It is better to go for a Mark 2, or Chaser, or Cresta same year it is the same shape and almost the same options too. But You will not get the 5M-E engine in the japanese models. You will get the 1JZ-GTE, 1JZ-GE, 1G-FE, 1G-GTE, 22R and maybe others that I do not recall.

You are right! The 5M-GE is the original engine in this car, and it also came with the 7M-GE in the US. The Supra Celica version came with the similar engines also. But the 5M-E SOHC is engine conversion it should be a 5M-GE Dohc engine.

buy a toyota crown 90-91 with 3.0 V6 or a mark 2 chaser etc phasna hai tow sahi tarah phasoo na bhai

if you have money for serious petrol exp. buy this or adil's crown and put a 7mgte and manual it. that's like you get to feel how a boing takes off. price tag i am not sure off. this car in pic, needs some good cleaning up.. dirt everywhere in nukes and corners.. looks like it will needs new brakes and supension and weeks for cleaning up as you work on car.

the car looks like need more of work....whole clean up...whats the engine condition...Efi system engine rings whats engine sayings....also something need to be changed...so be sure those are available out in market...looks like owner does'nt care much as interior was saying this...spending 2 days on whole interior cause interior to shine like new...:)....its a good car and i think if you love that.....sure you buy...but how better is that is you find some RHD.....

Dropped the idea, coz every one is suggesting me to not to go for it as it aint gotta resale. And conversion needs a lotta time which I might be unable to give it.
