I am facing issue of car dying at cold starts.Rpm drops and engine dies but as soon as it reaches some temperature it becomes normal.What could be the issue.

Yes it can be. You can check it.
If you see oil in its pipe or it doesn't let air flow in one direction i.e (from engine towards manifold) then it's bad.

Actually I had changed the oil 1000 kms ago 10w40 grade.Now dipstick shows half oil.Previously this type of issue wasn't there.I checked the pcv valve it was broken from inside and had oil in it also.Now I have changed it with another one.Hopefully issue will be resolved otherwise ring piston nawe payegee.

Actually this problem occured after I switched oil brands.Will change it back on next oil change and observe oil level.

Brother when engine rings become weak or valve stem seals in most if the cases it burns oil have u ever observed blue smoke ?

Well after pcv valve replacement I also got it,s grommet changed as it was busted.After that Idling,power got better.Oil level after topping up seems ok.There was issue of car dying at cold start it also got better.I am amazed that such a small part can make such a difference.There isn't any blue smoke from exhaust.

There is still 500ml reduction after 3000kms but I think it's ok as it's an old engine.I simply top it up.Rest no smoke from exhaust,fuel economy and power is good MashaAllah.I am thinking to switch to 15w40 engine oil grade as it's a little thicker and will control the oil reduction a bit.

Today I changed oil at 5000 kms it was 400ml less than total quantity.This time I poured pso deo 8000 15w40.
