guys i got an starlet ep1 4efe engine with had a auto tranny with harness and ecu !! but i only took the engine , harness and ecu leaving the auto tranny

connections to ecu is not problem but whats about the rest 3 sockets that goes into the dashpanel !!

what was the transmission code coupled to this engine.it has 2 variants of autobox - 3 speed & 4 speed, If it was a 4 speed ECT , you may need the dash cluster for it to correctly wire the harness.

decoding these three sockets for cluster will be a serious task.

It's the last gen 4efe.....you got uncut wiring it will be easy for you as these engine are the easiest to wire up.
Looks like you also got bay fuse box. You need wiring diagram of ep90.
Engine doesn't need much connections with the cluster.

as far as i know there is no problem with the auto ecu and manual !! since its only the gear shifter selector connections that connected !! the gear shift is not computer controlled !! even my ecu is for auto but im swapping c140 manula tranny with 4efe !!

@Hassan1991 broo both flywheels are same in 4efe and 2e and clutch kits are also same !! i just to see a manual seized 4efe with manual c140 tranny with same clutch kits that im having !! as for my inspections both are compatible !! but i doubt about the gear ratios in c140 and c150 !!

in the manual transaxle car you do not need to worry about the cluster connections. simply swap the engine after wiring is configured BEFORE engine is rigged to engine bay. donot cutaway to throwaway the remaining unused connectors, simply get the plug size heat shrink tubes and seal tight the unused connectors double wrapped. (seal once & seal again)

Bhai theoretically it should be different. Talking about Clutch plates. Have you measured? But still i'm not saying that it will not fit...it surely does.
Yeah no problem with it. Some wires will be unused.
Surely ratio will be change as both are totally different

yeah the weight might have some differenc !! and yes i measured !! and mounted the 2e clutch kit also !! so far i dont have any problem !! but still as u say theoretically there must be some variations !!

im in process of decoding my 2e harness so i know which wire goes where !! after that ill have to see the new engine harness pins and connect the wires !! between if anyone has the cluster wiring for ep90 or 91 please feel free to share !!

guys i need help with the strater signal !! i cant figure out the how the starter signal should be wired !! does it has any connection with the ecu

STA goes into ECU to let ECU know engine is cranked and started

ECU see 12v when cranked and disappear when started .....
