Toyota estima x 90's or Toyota regius 90's for trips to north pakistan?

As the topic says, are both vehicles suitable for trips to north pakistan? These vehicles have more leg room for the passengers than typical 4*4 vehicles available in my budget. Will they be any good to handle bit off road like from chitral to gilgit(i know the road is under construction but there would be rough patches i assume)yasin valley, shimshal, misgar, chiporsun etc? or neelum valley till taobut?

No of occupants in the vehicle would be 6 for the trip. All adults.

The basic point is if these vehicles are reliable and have good ground clearance to cover the whole area or should i look for Pajero's or LC's etc? (estima is available in 4*4 option not sure about regius)

The budget for vehicle is 1.5 to 1.8 million. Will spend 1 to 2 lac on top of that for necessory work like tyres, engine cooling, ac/ heater.

Open to suggestions if there are other better options available.

Will you buy new or used, in case of used the reliability will factor on previous maintenance and jerry riggings this vehicle has seen.

If it is not a commonly used vehicle then in case of any maintenance requirements or breakdowns you may not be able to find the serving parts not the mechanics.

So its not wise to trade the comfort with uncertainty.
Rent a Hiace with driver and enjoy your trip.

Renting a HiAce is also in my consideration. There are certain limitations when going with driver and rented vehicles. But having own convince is piece of mind. i recently went to kalam oshu etc on my civic it got scratched several times from underneath i drove it from islamabad till oshu and was back in the evening in islamabad. This cannot be done in rented vehicle.

That's why i am opting for personal convince rather than renting one.

Old vehicles can be made reliable i suppose.

best option is rental of a Hi-Ace. 90% of route you are planning is paved road can be explored over HiAce. (have reasonable ground clearance compared to a sedan)

when you rent a vehicle for northern areas per day plus fuel is agreed charged. The hotels you choose provide free food & stay for drivers, so you need not be worried for that either. also the advantage in renting vehicle is there is a back up vehicle provided by the rental company incase of vehicle break down.

That will be far economical then buying a vehicle driving on your own, while depreciation of vehicle value will be significant within a year.
