Toyota fortuner 2.7

I Need your suggestions regarding Toyota Fortuner 2.7 petrol(17/18)
i have heard that its underpowerd and sluggish?
is it true?
I Only need it for city use only.with 5 adults would it lack power on highways?

2.7 Under powered .

once my grandfather said 1.3 CC is nothing. Car engine must be Huge near above 2000CC.

I have driven old and new Fortuner (not in Pakistan) both with 2.7 litre petrol engine.

Certainly with the updated chassis new Fortuner is comfortable compared with previous gen. Fortuner. However both are awful compared to a sedan.

As you asked, yes 2.7 litre petrol engine is sluggish & slow. Body weight to bhp/torque ratio is at lower end. But it should be fine within city (as you wont be driving up the hills). Acceleration is also an issue, but its understandable as its an rigid SUV.

Yes it is true its underpower. and new Fortuner petrol is not even 4WD only diesel variant is 4WD. Fortuner has the same chassis of Toyota Hilux, which gives you feel like having Hilux. Its better to find prado 3.0 at least, in that huge money if you want more comfort. Prado 2.7 is also underpowered SUV. but if you find prado 2.7, still a better option than Fortuner 2.7... Fortuner has more options and shashka than Prado.

I have heard Fortuner sigma is better. Not sure about it.

its 2.8 but has around double the torque then 2.7 petrol varient

1.3 CC? That really is nothing lol. And yes the Fortuner with a 2.7L engine is a bit sluggish and dimwitted because of its weight and aerodynamics.
