IF low gear is engaged, there is no need for DAC. Low Gear provides more than enough resistance downhill

This appears to be a built in feature, i don't understand the purpose of it though, DAC still uses the brake, that sort of defies the point, one uses low range downhill to avoid using the brakes as they may overheat, if we engage DAC, we are still using the brake... thats just stupid....
If you have the space, use it practically, put the vehicle in low range, slip the lever to manual mode, and go down a hill without DAC, then repeat this procedure with DAC, shouldn't be much difference

Right i was also surprised but it functions like that n of no uae in hilly areas like coming down from babusar only usable while ofroading

Usually its used in vehicles without a trip-tonic or without a low range gearbox. It makes no sense when one has these two in the vehicle

Instead of moving this thread to the 4x4 section. A subsection "Fortuner" should have been created under main "Toyota" section and be moved there.
If Camry hiace mark X etc that are only a handful can have their own separate subsections why not a Fortuner? Considering this vehicle has a consistent 400-500 sales/month.
