I had a similar issue. Went for 20K checkup at dealership and got it checked. They said some injector adjustment is needed however their guy was not available.
Surprisingly got the diesel filter changed while servicing and now the knocking thing is gone.
Not sure if fuel was the issue or something else. Will go to dealership if problem comes again.

Half of the time dealerships don't accept the problem and at other time they cant figure it out.Though I would give it to Toyota/Honda dealerships that they are perhaps the most experienced.As I am a potential buyer do share your views and experience with Fortuner 2.7 Petrol.

Petrol one Is not 4x4 anymore so I won't consider it an option. I personally love the diesels

Hi,
Did anyone install the TRD suspension? Any feedback from actual users needed please.
I’m seriously considering changing the suspension if it makes the ride more comfortable.
My concern is it will increase body roll which might give the feeling of an unstable ride.

Expert opinion needed please.

Did any one experienced about the sound coming from second row of seats like (chu chu) from left side of seats when the car moves from braker or some uneven road.
I have 2017 fortuner and driven 62000km.
Can some one guide whats the problem?

It may be because third-row seats are folded up and second row is reclined and they rub against each other.

Yes the 3rd row seats are folded. May be this could be a reason
