Oh Nice, I booked a Facelift Revo in the early days and got July delivery after a lot of hassle where as normally the were quoting august. Might be Fortuner would be launched a little early then Revo I guess

don't do that.....you will only make it more bouncy, more prone to body roll.
The best u can do is to switch to some even softer tyres, like Yokohama Geolanders, and keep them at 28 psi.

I was thinking to buy the new face lift but I'm kind of concerned with what everyone says about the ride being bumpy. If anyone has driven Sportage and Fortuner both how would you compare the ride and comfort. I know Fortuner is a proper 4x4 but I just wanted to know how is for city drive.

Sportage has a much more smoother and comfortable ride compared to Fortuner which has stiff suspension and ver less comfort but in off-road capability Sportage is no where near Fortuner

Initially when I bought Fortuner in 2017 it was the charm of a new car but with time when the charm and glitter wore off it was a different case and now I can safely admit: Fortuner is one of the most uncomfortable vehicles I can remember to have owned in my life. The seats are literally like a hard bench and the ride is nothing but jerky on rough surfaces.

In terms of ride comfort Sportage and Fortuner are on a different planet. The seats and suspension on Sportage are absolutely amazing for the term comfort in comparison to comfort offered by Fortuner.

I am saying this out of personal experience of ownership of both Fortuner & Sportage

Fortuner offers other pros but comfort is not remotely close to it.

Back in 2017 the price gap of a brand new Fortuner and a used fresh imported unregistered 2.7 Prado was not more than 1 Million, I went for the Fortuner option out of the debate Old VS New and that was a mistake. I seriously wish I could go 3.5 years back and buy the used Prado instead of this new Fortuner.

Thanks for honest feedback. I booked mine in 2017 as well, but later cancelled it after a relative warned me about its comfort issues. I am looking to buy a crossover these days. Went to checkout Sportage and MG HS. MG HS is much better in comfort, interior quality and features as compared to Sportage and Fortuner. But the main problem with HS is that its 1.5 turbo engine only require hi-octane fuel, while Sportage 2.0 naturally aspirated engine doesn't. Confused what to buy

After going through this dilemma myself, I eventually went for Sportage since it was a ‘safer option’. Of course I would miss the bells and whistles that the MG offers, but beyond that Sportage is also a good enough product with developing local reliability and quality reputation. The MG needs 2-3 years in the market to show its real colours and then one can think of shifting again. Is there any chance the HS hybrid is coming?

I went for a Sportage because of its developed network and known reliability getting better with passage of time all around the world. In all honesty the total life of this relaunched MG brand is hardly a few years ever since it came under the Chinese manufacturer SAIC. The brand has yet to prove itself. In Pakistan there is no dealership network as of yet. I too observed the MG closely and the only 2 good things are interior materials and bells but once you look past that you can easily see hints of substandard Chinese manufacturing at a lot of places specially the body and paint < my observation

The suspension on MG is harder than Sportage and there is a very distinctive Turbo lag frequently. Also I wouldn’t trust a Chinese DCT when a company like Honda faced DCT issues to the extent they have ditched it in new Vezel due to never ending issues.

As a car maker, MG is today where Kia was 20 years ago, they are yet a long way and need to prove themselves
