Drove for around 150 km the other day. Highway, broken and dirt roads.
Few impressions...
The negative first..
Driver seat needs a little lumbar support. Its otherwise nice and snug but lower back needs a little support.
Wind noise is noticeable at anything 130 kmph and above.
Eco mode robs the AC... At one point i thought maybe there was something wrong with the AC đ„” but shifted to Normal mode and it was again chilling
Rest the positives.. it's a long list ....
The engine is a treat. It pulls the 2750 kg tank effortlessly. No need to floor the pedal. Just a touch and u get instant response
Thr car is stable and planted at highway speeds. Road and tyre noise very less.
The suspension and tyres eat dirt roads and khaddas for breakfast. Effortless...
The car is real stable and very very forgiving on twisting, winding narrow and broken roads and dirt tracks.
Superb brakes. Superb throttle. And the transmission never lags.
Thr paddle shifters are a joke though đ€Ł... Too laggy for any decent comments. I don't think they are worth using at all.
Interior exterior are very well put together... No rattles or squeks even at speeds in khadda roads
There are so many 4x4 and traction related features and lights on the dash....
4x4
4 Lo
Diff lock
Auto LSD
Traction off
I tested each and everyone. Although the conditions were not demanding but still I got a feel of what was happening under the car.
150 km round trip.. highway I got 12.3-12.5 kmpl at 120.
Overall including beaten roads, I got 12.0 kmpl door to door.
Not bad considering i had some 4 lo sessions, some 160 kmph runs on highway.
And, yes, im yet to find that "uncomfortable" which everyone said it would be.
Its not as plush as a V8 or an S Class of course, but still, very comfortable for long distance touring on all types of roads.
The infotainment is just a big nice looking screen. Thats all. It has android auto. Nothing else worth mentioning about it.
