Though i understand that it is nowhere near to that of sigma. however, this is also a fact that current bookings of sigma mainly comprise of dealers not end users.

I don’t think there’s big difference between resale of G and Sigma. Preference of Sigma is offset by lower prices of G. Same used to be the case between 4x2 V and Sigma.

Fortuner Sigma 4: 9,269,000
Fortuner V: 8,899,000
Fortuner G: 7,649,000

Wow! This is lower than what was predicted!
Essentially the Facelift model is only 120k above the last price of the non-facelifted model. And Fortuner G facelift is cheaper than the last price of the non-facelift model.

Govt. taxes are a major reason for the high prices of cars.

The prices have been reduced quietly because all manufacturers are already planning another increase due to US$ going up, global shortage of semiconductors and increased freight, cargo, shipping and transit charges.

That’s absolutely right. The prices have been reduced because Government is foregoing its revenue. Soon, the prices will increase.

Really competitive prices, especially for Fortuner G with a reduction of Rs. 3.5 lacs. % wise, that's probably the biggest reduction among all cars. A big lol to dealers/investors booking and hoarding Fortuner variants and asking close to Rs. 11 mln on Diesel, 1.05 mln on Petrol and 9 mln for Fortuner G variant till just last week.
