Real situation as of yesterday at batakundi- the river flow current is immense and the huge rocks hidden underneath is very challenging and about motorcycle crossing is next to impossible as people were stranded cant even cross by foot due to river current ... KPK MNA son lost life 3 days ago trying to cross batakundi by foot as his silver prado got stuck in the middle while river cross attempt which later pulled by a tractor and was parked at the site

Gutsy motorcyclist but it was 27th and in 3 days the river current has changed considerably as glaciers melting due to summers approaching. .. wading is far more now whole hilux wheels are in water versus bike crossing with ease 3 days earlier.

Lolz... Prado owners... Met one tx owner on the way back from shogran at kawai and his basic concern rather he was pissed off by the gearbox on the downhill as on D the car runs free and no gear breaking and if on d3 or L its too much of ReV.
With paddle shifters you are in control and enjoy downhill 100 times more than Prado tx.

Waiting for someone to cross glacier on four wheels... how can one compare 2 wheels with four wheels- drive dynamics are way to challenging in four wheels.

Come one man, the water is upto the tires, big deal!!! In fact I can almost see half the tires even in the middle of crossing. A Corolla could cross this with it's hood submerged. The video of motor cycle guy crossing it had almost the same water level in the middle. But we get it, it's the first time you are doing all this so it's a big deal for you. Have fun
Do share the video of Prado shying away from this crossing to backup your claim if you really want to start comparing it with Prado once again. If you want to bash something you gotta have some proof.

exactly mate thats what I wanted to prove... with fortuner 279mm ground clearance it was a piece of cake as it passed it all with ease and style while you can see hilux stuck at the same course after its bonnet submerged couldn't take the photo. Fortuner stands tall and handsome.
It isn't the first time I have done it but it's ofcourse the first ever time someone has done it here with the brand new fortuner in Pakistan.

Toyota has corrected ground clearance to 225mm for fortuner. Very similar to Prado. 279mm was misleading info, and head to head, it is similar to all other SUVs including Prado (220mm), Pajero (218mm) etc, plus minus few mm depending on individual vehicle design.
In fact, some websites quote the ground clearance at 220mm for fortuner too.

The wading depth for Fortuner is identical to Prado and Pajero, i.e 700mm.

I hope he or anyone else dont get their lovely fortuner stuck in the middle of nowhere to find out that clearance was only 225mm and not 279mm.
