They did say you don't need to change it before 5000 but I am thinking to get it done at 2500 first, then at 5000 and then at regular interval of every 5000.

its exceeds the quality requirements.. manual says 0w-30 or 5w-30... 5w-50 covers hot weather range better..
Tagalon is Toyota indus brand. 5w-50 available in mobil 1 also but fake alert. Toyota claims 8000-10000km service on Tagalon fully synthetic.

Its better than what came in Fortuners as default Petron plus 10w-30 which defy the toyota Fortuners manual at the vary beginning lolz.

But how do you know it was 10w-30?

And no matter what if 5w-50 ain't in the recommended range, by no means I plan to apply my opinion and engineering

After much struggle and using a reference, I booked mine a month ago. All dealerships keeps saying booking will start soon and that soon is not coming. Toyota Airport motors tried to sell me on premium of 8 lakh when I asked for booking in person. I think I got December delivery because its the least favorite month of premium investors, because of changing year.

Dealership offered me 650k own the day I had to take delivery and they said we have a very serious customer for Super White. I refused and they finally offered me another 50k and said 7 lakh par de dain gaari. Really pushed an insisted me but Obviously there is no value and price on charm and pleasure so I passed (Till Allah has given affordability and blessings) This was exactly a month ago.

I am sure they would ask buyers for 8 lakh and offer the seller 6.5-7 lakh at max and keep the extra cussion for themselves.

These are Yokohama Geolanders 285/60R18

I went for Yokohama Geolanders 285/60R18 - replacing Dunlop and going a little wider and higher in tire size..............the result is quite satisfying .............. the car feels much grippier.......the ride quality is slightly better on highway...............but significantly better on dirt roads............road noise is higher though.....................

Similar budget 6 million but decided to settle for Fortuner
Prado is definitely better looking than Fortuner but the question is: is it 3 million pkr better than the Fortuner?

And that's a definite no, with a similar engine, outdated interior design language, no warranty and prado being a 2nd hand car doesn't justify the price gap. Simply put prado is too expensive for what it is.

The only problem i have with the Fortuner is the lackluster key and absence of push start. Else everything was marginally better than the previous gen Fortuner

Yes, the first thing you notice on driver side is that ugly plastic cover on push start button hole. Indus Motor has sure shown its true colors of cheapness.

Yokohama Geolander is definitely a no. Because of it's thick profile or in local language "moti guddi" it makes the steering stiff. I made the same mistake and I am regretting it now. It may be good for off roading but not for city or highway drive. The steering is so much heavier that you feel the difference. The noise level is not a lot, I haven't noticed any significant change. It definitely improves road grip and stability but for me heavy steering is a big turn off. At the end of the day it's not good for suspension, mileage and last but not the least your hand/arms are stressed out. I am also feeling lower pickup. By the way I am talking about Prado and I used standard specs i.e. 265/65/R17. Nothing beats Michelin, the Japs used it for a reason and they are not wrong!

No new vehicle even all PKDM have anything higher than 5W30 mentioned in their manuals. Your car or SUV runs perfectly on 0W20 upto 25k, after that switch to 5W20 uptil 75k and after that 5W30. There's no issue with ambient temperature. Even for GCC countries which are hotter than Pakistan, 5W20 and 5W30 is recommended. You'd be killing your engine with anything over W30.

You should have taken the offer, added a million more and booked a Prado which arrives in 45 days

A) On already overstretched budget with planning starting from Vezel and ending to Fortuner step by step increasing it, another borrowing or further mental pressure of 1 million would have made it less of a pleasure. And that too for a base version.

B) Nothing beats the brand new factor.

C) I personally hate the current Prado interior with that centre console area inspired from a municipal water tank.

D) An outdated 8 year old design compared to a fresh sporty look.

So there are many factors, personal choice and opinion which pointed the decision towards Fortuner and this sort of adding more and more to the budget doesn't have a limit. I would then add more and then again more to rather get an old registered used Land Cruiser 2008 than getting a Prado 2012 if thats the criteria.

Of course budget is the main contributing factor when buying a car and 2nd biggest would be brand new factor. Leave aside the interior, you can always live with it when you get to enjoy better ride, feel, comfort, features and higher class.
