Dawar my criteria is: the engine wasn't made by these clowns at dealership so I should rather stick to what the engineers who developed this engine say which is recommended in the manual.
Our local mechanics are retards and the dealership has to sell and convince customers on what they have easily available or where the profit margin is more.
5w-50 could be equally good but why take chance. And an unspecified oil doesn't show its effect immediately, it reduces the life of an engine in a longer run. An engine supposed to last 300k will end up weak at 150k and oil is the most important factor for engine life.
It also means that till warranty period is active no major visible issue would be there. But what about later? Its your car then and there will be no warranty if anything goes wrong.
So my rule: Never listen to these half baked retards who work at dealership, these are Jon Snows who know nothing
