So as I mentioned, took delivery of the vehicle today. Initial impressions are good! Road noise is low, speed breakers, cats eyes etc. don't interfere with cabin comfort. No rattles or any vibration. Steering has a nice solid feel. Speaker system is good, no complaints, sound is much better than corolla and has a nice deep note. Seat size/height etc are good. Legs fall at a comfortable angle. Back support is also adequate but I miss a bit more lumbar support.
Only complaint so far is that handles on the front doors are not solid enough. When climbing in if one would use the door for support it will feel like the leather padding may tear off! The padding also squeeks under elbow weight, on both front doors. Secondly the front center armrest/ console lid is a bit low and short in length. The elbow is left feeling dangling. In other words I have a complaint with all the front armrests.
As for future 1GD diesel, this car gets a reasonably loud amount of engine noise even with petrol. My take is that diesel would spoil the "premium" experience.
