Ok I know many people are gonna kill me on this but it will be fun to compare The Fortuner and Prado base model TX (pls dont lose ur calm) 
Both cars are 2017 model.
Exterior:-
Fortuner 9 out of 10 (sleek lights,character lines,chrome)
Prado 7 out of 10(ugly grill,boxy design,looks less futuristic.
Interior:-
Fortuner 9 out of 10(good colour scheme,sleek interior with futuristic and modern feel,nice materials)
Prado 7 out of 10 (TX) (dull black scheme,outdated feel and less modern but materials are fine even leather seats and cruise control is sometimes missing in TX)
Performance:-
(Both are 2.7L)
Fortuner 7 out of 10 (dual vvti 164hp and less weight so accelerates faster then prado but still underpowered)
Prado 6 out of 10 (vvti with 160hp and more weight less aerodynamic results in sluggish acceleration)
Comfort and driving dynamics:-
Fortuner 7 out of 10(less comfy seats and bit more stiff suspension and less road grip compared LCP)
Prado 9 out of 10 (comfy seats,nice suspension and better handling compared to fortuner)
Value for money:-
Fortuner 8 out of 10 (5.43m price for brand new model with good features looks and ride)
Prado 6 out of 10 (8.0m price for a used base model TX of 2014 just does not justify the price tag)
So overall Fortuner 8/10
And prado (TX) 7/10
But keep in mind prado (TZ)is superior to Fortuner but that's really a big stretch (1.40m TZ) so if u really want a complete 7 seat suv right now which is beautiful and budget friendly fortuner is better but there is no point of getting TX but if u really want Prado try to open ur pocket upto 14.0m then it's a supreme car.
