Allhamdolillah, bought at a very good time when booked it in February and delivered at old invoice. A seriously sweet deal. No regrets on missing the push start and instead having the opportunity of getting it at a relatively much lower price because of Allah’s Will and blessing.

and that to with 4x4 and rear differential lock... A Full potent machine ! Demand for 4x4 Petrol is already high and with the release of 4x2 variant at 56 lacs... The 4x4 will sell way high easily

60-70% less than 1KD 3.0 diesel engine, a friend got new Revo 2.8 who was comparing with his 3.0 1kd Revo.

Petrols doesn't even breathe when warmed up & idling.. Sound less almost !

Indus is planning not to give test drives rather book & treat it like Corolla facelift.

i think ur calculation for diesel engine oil interval max should be 5k km and for petrol in fully synthetic oil can be run upto 8k km, that wat i do in my Revo 3.0 n Vigo 2.7L so yes diesel maintenance cost is lil bit higher than petrol but diesel full tank give around 550-570km n petrol give around 400-420km in full tank.

I calculated all common factors fuel consumption fuel type cost & maintenance visits with oil consumption & oil filter cost on an average... and extracted to single Rupees/km figure to compare better.

Diesel seems giving more mileage per litre or tank but costs more to run actually on road.

Don't understand why the running cost of diesel cars or suv in Europe/UK n other countries is low compare to petrol cars, even though diesel is more exp than Pak diesel rates. The best part is they like the mileage of diesel cars with low-end torque as I myself drove few rentals diesel cars in UK n got addicted to diesel power cars. If I get choice of 2700cc petrol or new 1GD 2800 diesel, I would go for diesel Fortuner.

Recently 2 months earlier kept 2017 530d an drove it for a week doing more than 2000kms... It was crazy quiet and damn powerful yet giving 1175kms range on a full tank of diesel. Its the tech difference altogether and Toyota is no where near Germans in diesel tech.

2,500km oil change interval recommended by Toyota Pakistan is really an overkill and has been designed keeping dealerships profit margins in focus. Back in late 90's I kept a 2.0D bought brand new for almost 150,000 kms with oil changes at intervals of 5,000kms using Caltex Delo. Even after clocking 150k kms engine was as sweet as brand new.
2.8D definitely makes sense for people with higher mileages and also for people who use their vehicles for trips to interior and up north. btw if somebody is not planning these trips, he should purchase a good sedan like honda civic or audi etc. instead.
2.7 Petrol average is over stated. This engine never gives more than 6~7 kmpl. Whereas 2.5 D4-D or 3.0 D4-D never come below 9 whatever the road condition or driving style.

oh yes German diesel are like workhorse and good on mileage, last year i rented A6 2.0tdi avant with family of 5 drove from Manchester to Blackpool then back to London on single tank, around 650miles trip and wen i took out from rental it was showing 750+miles range but due to many stoppages mileage came down.This is why i like diesel engine, had 2008 corolla 2.0D saloon and it used to give 580km in one tank wish Toyota bring bak new turbo diesel engine corolla.

same i used to change engine oil at 5k in my 2008 corolla 2.0D saloon n uses delo gold, it had done 80,000km with no problem and the best part is engine oil is much cheaper than petrol engine oil only oil filter is lil exp. Btw not every dealer recommend at 2500km, Toyota Central recommended me at 5k and my Revo had 3 engine oil change as it has done 15k km.

Fresh imported used Prado 2013 is costing above 8.5m and that too 2700cc full time 4wd.

No dear stated very modest figures rather under rated fuel consumption ... Current fortuner with proper air pressures and synthetic oil service on Eco mode gives 8~9+ km/L in City easy - Karachi /Lahore /Islamabad driven in all cities ( in Hyderabad city gives me 6.5~7.3km/L due to short under 10km trips) while on motorway 105-125 provided not against strong gusts of wind in Eco mode under 2K Rpm gives 10.4~11.3km/L.
