Between 6 and 7.5 km/L depending on how you drive. This is based on initial feedbacks for first few customers. Give it a month or two and more before more authentic data comes in.

this data is based on tank to tank refill cost and ado reading. Whatever the eco meter based average is, the actual efficiency is around 1 km per litre less.

Fortuner based on same method is not above 7.5 km per litre so far.

Yes if the Prado is equipped with KDSS suspension which is better but have its manufacturing faults like left side leaning etc and which is only available on TZ-G variant only. else All others 2700cc Prados TX or TX-L and 4000cc TX variant of prado have the same 5 link solid axle at the rear & double wishbone independent struts exactly same which is carried & introduced in the new fortuner. ... its not anymore like its predecessor which had leafs coil suspension of the hilux. Gone are the days now Fortuner stands tall against old 2700cc TX-L Prado in all aspects made it be comfort acceleration price and new technology or the fuel economy or the looks.
Hilux ReVo platform and chasis is the most ruugged in 4x4 category which Fortuner inherit + its less gross.weight and dual.vvti and 6 speed paddle shift auto beats 2700cc old prado whether hands up or hands down anytime.

I fully agree with your analysis and conclusion. It has seriously dented the TX Prado.

Push Start will not be factory offered but dealerships are planning to offer thai push start & smart entry options at a cost covered in warranty.

In six months, we will come back to these claims and see if fortuners are selling as hoarded commodity or on discounted rates... Civic turbo is a recent example of overly marketed specimen.

I have booked mine.But always thought if they had offered push start.Are you sure that dealerships will offer push start.? I wish this is true.

Prado TX has 2.7 Dual VVTi 2 TR engine, 4 forward automatic transmission 5 link strong axle double wishbone suspension and fabric seats.No cruise control,no paddle shifters no cool box and its not trip tronic.

Hi all.

A few days back I test drove the new Fortuner. The drive was all comfortable and good. Liked the acceleration, features and all. However, I have concern that the engine noise (the acceleration noise from engine or exhaust) was unusually high in the cabin. Is that normal? I mean I have never driven an SUV before. Please let me know if anyone feels likewise. Or if otherwise shed some light over this issue.

Yes I have heard the high engine noise too when test driving. But only when pushing the car hard. In normal cruising, I heard nothing..
The high noise is because 2700cc is a little engine for such a heavy body. But I drive a Corolla Gli, a 1300 cc car. So I am used to such high roar of smaller engines when accelerating fast. To me it was normal.

it's super quite while normal driving but when on power mode accelerating hard it revs and makes that sweet sporty roaring sound which I like.

Anyone got their Feb delivery? Indus says phantom Brown colour is not yet started rolling in the production but whites blacks and silver on the way. Further Booking have reached May.
