me too....its so polluted in Lahore I don't even open windows if its pleasant outside, I just use A/C so smoke and dust cannot get in. Even in a clean area its only a matter of minutes before suddenly a Mazda or other truck/bus comes in front of you spewing dust and smoke in the cabin.
P.S. or sometimes even a bike or rikshaw with worn out engine giving white smoke.
I had a civic with sunroof many years ago, when I sold it I bought a new civic without sunroof because sunroof had no utility for me.
However in rare cases when the car is full of 5 or more occupants, at that time the need can arise for outside air due to CO2 buildup in the cabin. Its a good option at those times to tilt the sunroof. This is also the reason that Mercedes vehicles keep automatically switching back to fresh air mode even if you had chosen recirculate, to vent out CO2 coming from the occupants breathing.
