If you're concerned about safety, then you should not buy Fortuner. I actually booked Fortuner after getting impressed by the looks and size, but cancelled later because of no vehicle stability control or traction control and uncomfortable seats. They also increased price by 150,000 after I booked it.
Fortuner is longer than Prado, but narrower and almost same height. That increases the risk of rollover. No VSC makes it a very risky ride.
I drove Prado 120 for 5 years, it was my first SUV. It was a 2003 model, and yet it had stability control, traction control, hill start control and downhill assist control. None of these features are in Fortuner. Its a total rip-off at current price. The coolbox isn't even real coolbox. Its just a box with AC vents, in winter it becomes a hot box
. In Prado I had a proper coolbox with separate button and it would chill drinks in 15 minutes, it was better than my home refrigerator.
