Toyota gli 2010 P2121 error code throttle/pedal position sensor error

my gli 2010 gave p2121 error, after scanning mechanic said to change the fuel pump so i changed it but after 2 week same error came back.
now after consulting with other mechanic he said acceleration position sensor needs to be changed or may be some prob woth wiring..
need pakwheelers suggestions what should i do now.
also is there any good electrician in lahore who can tackle this issue.

It’s paddle sensor issue and that is for sure. Go to the dealership and ask for the estimate first. If its cheap there than get it fixed

electrician suggest to get the kabali one from bilal ganj which costs around 3k.

faulty throttle position sensor and faulty wiring is also triggered this code..
can electrician troubleshoot the faulty part.

today visited to workshop and asked for troubleshoot.
electrician just clean the ecu terminal, grips of sensors and clean the car grounding.
he said if engine light again shows then will change the accelerator position sensor.
electrician dont have any method to check the voltage values of sensors to troubleshoot the exact problematic part. they just do the hit and trial.
becoz to check the values of sensor oscilloscope and voltmeter is used but local electrician dont know the techniques.
now car is good without check light hope so that problem dont come back.

Remove or cut mat underneath accelerator paddle area.

Have you seen oem mats? Area under pedal has a space. There is a reason for that space.
Just make a cut in mat under pedal area.

no i didnt see oem mat.
btw mine have 2 mats in driving side.
one is thick carpet type other one is rubber.

Remove the thick one completely, and cut the area under pedal for the plastic one, i also have double matting, but there is nothing under accelerator pedal.

one more thing about about car
the ac of car is working efficiently during long drive or city
but in office i have to park my car in direct sunlight from 8 to 4.. when i start my car its ac is not working for almost 10 mins and after 10 mins its chilling. but during 10 mins its throwing hot air. even cultus throw cool air after parked in sunlight

throttle position sensor is a spring loaded metallic link attached to accelerator and throttle body .. sometimes while cleaning throttle body mechanics forget to load this linkage before assembling the throttle body and parts or sometimes it gets stuck .. resulting in wrong input from this link .. let me find a video to clarify .. try checking this aspect

Hello Pakwheelers,
I have the same issue p2121 on my corolla 2009 Xli . I had my paddle changed by a kabli one but still no solution . Got my throttle body checked and the TPS also , Wiring also checked and its perfect but after some time it gives the error . I want to know if anyone knows about the paddle price from TOYOTA and does it works best ? My car's on CNG and i have removed it and checked it by running it on the primary fuel but still the error . Please Let Me Know if anyone knows about the new paddle and about the reviews.
