I would suggest you to buy a Corolla if you want a car that has a rear trunk, reliability and cheap maintenance cost with spare parts also available everywhere. Fuel average will not be as expected, it would do 9-10 KMPL as per my experience, car would be underpowered but would only be felt if you're coming from a 1.5, 1.6 or 1.8 cc category. Vitz will be very challenging and difficult to find a good condition, low mileage and in genuine condition with a verifiable auction sheet, hatchbacks in this price bracket should only be considered if you're tight in space, parking is a problem, or a hatchback is strictly required. So Corolla is the way to go, just drive a GLi 1.3 Auto before buying.
