Toyota gli manual or Toyota gli automatic?

Hello people .my budget is around 20-21 lakh . I have driven suzuki mehran for one year .now I am looking to buy my first big sedan car with diggi. Which variant of gli I should for and why ?my drive will be evenly distributed between city and rural area as my house is on village side plus relatives .

Are u planning to buy new or used rolla? If new then go for Altis 1.6 automatic it is currently of 2m price tag. Don't go for gli 1.3 auto as it is underpowered. If u are living in a city like Karachi where the traffic means 1st and 2nd gear then auto is the best option as it is peace of mind.

You can buy Altis 1.6 with this budget. Go for it. Don't think about GLI A/T

If you want manual then GLI is ok otherwise in auto go for Altis 1.6

If resale is not your big concern . Go for ALTIS the true crolla . Automatic is great. We Pakistani always purchased under power GLI and say JapanI car is best . ALTIS is better then GLI and u can compare it's drive with JapanI

Altis 1.6 have as good resale as GLI Auto. Infact, Altis 1.6 is a good buy in terms of resale.

Don't even think about GLI 1.3 auto, worst corolla then ever although I'm using it but keen to sell as soon as possible.
Go for Altis 1.6 a little price difference pay you back alot.
And if you really wanna go for 1.3 variant which is under-power go for manual but mind you I've seen people pushing brand new corolla on the ramp near GPO parking of Murree which was very easy for even a mehran, just imagine if something like this happens to you after even buying a 2mil machine

If your preference is auto you should go for 1.6 as suggested by many others but if you want a manual than go for gli eye closed it is far better than city or even 9th generation civic in term of comfort and as you are upgrading from mehran it will really satisfy you and those who are calling it underpowered imo they all might be fans of v8 otherwise I went on trip of 10 days to murree Islamabad on my gli m/t with overloaded trunk, 3 adults and 2 kids and I neither felt it underpower while driving uphills of monal, murree, nathia gali pitrata etc

Sorry to bust your little person ego bubble but I have Corolla gli as well as Audi A3 . First time have seen a Pathan who is a small person

its really sad to hear this what people write that gli auto on murry hills is bad bla bla bla
i have gli auto since 2015 went many times to murry i never felt i have to push on gepo choank
its little under power but it never gave me tension to climb mountain
i have grande also but grande is an other class but gli auto is very good

First off, leave the economy. If one can afford 19 Lacs for a car, then I don't think 300-400 Rupees extra every refuel would be a problem.
As for the feel, the Gli Automatic isn't too bad, but the problem is you'll have to floor it and wait a second or two for the engine to kick in during overtakes, but in the manual, you can do a lot more. You can fly through traffic, practice shifting, do wheelspins if there's a City next to you on a Red Light haha. But anyways, go for a manual, you won't regret.

Women drivers mostly don't have sense when to shift gears. Hence science developed an arrangement for their ease. Men can understand the optimum RPM to shift gears. Hence can drive a car perfectly with manual. Which an auto can't achieve.
