Salam everyone,...just received toyota grande 2022...i got a zong 4g sim with free data for infotainment system ...... Do i have to get it activated before use... because i inserted it directly and can use it

It is a Data Sim and It comes with 3 month free data i think, just insert the sim and turn on wireless hotspot to enjoy connectivity wherever you go

Is the RF module for GSM/LTE communications in the headunit is PTA approved or it will cease to function after 60 days asking to register with a tax payment?

It's PTA Approved, the headunit user manual has PTA Approval logo, and if u remove the headunit from vehicle it has a sticker in it as well.

How bout the cars sold before this PTA policy.

Mine is 2017 FL first batch car, I never installed any sim in it, so if I install it now then I believe it will work for 2 months only before its IMEI gets blocked by PTA.

Unless the importer has furnished all IMEI to PTA earlier, which I doubt not done.

Yeah it might not be Pta Approved, Rather than going for PTA Approval u can just buy a usb powered wingle of any network.
