That's messed up, doesn't it put extra load on the transmission? Yes that's what I do now, lift the accelerator before shifting to 3rd gear

no its like redlining, not too much load on transmission best way is to lift off the accelerator before the shift. Funny thing it doesnt do on paddle shifting or manual tiptronic shifting.

No such problem in 1KD revo. I floor it all the time and that's where it shines. I was planning on getting a FL version. Maybe I shouldn't. My Alto does such weird gear stuff in AGS transmission.

I was talking about my Fortuner Legender, my Revo 3.0 is 5spd and unichip tuned. It's over 100k km and still run like champ.

Even Indus knows this issue, the owner/partner of unichip is my friend who happened to own Toyota Showrooms as well. He told me these problem is worldwide, only came this fault in FL-revos, FL Fortuner sigma and Fortuner Legender.

I asked one of my friends who own the shop for car accessories, detailing n wrapping. He told me you have to change the bumper as well, I think FL headlights r slightly sleeker in design or same as pre-facelift size.

It works ok. Returns 11 km/liter in city drive.
Change oil every 6 months if the car is driven less.

Hello Pakwheelers fellows.
Sorry for digging up what it's already seems to be dead thread, but i did not find a more suitable platform to ask my query.
Cutting it short, I have recently got Revo 2018 model 85k kms on odo, although the previous owner changed oil just 1k kms back (proven from service interval hanging card too) the oil on dipstick appears dark/black in color.
keeping in mind it's my first diesel vehicle I don't know if it's really normal for a diesel engine to turn an engine oil black so soon after change? or there is something to worry?
