Toyota hilux revo or civic turbo RS

i know this sounds a bit crazy as these two vehicles cannot be compared.
actually i have choice of either one.
i would just like to share little about myself:

i have a small family.
outdoor person
paramotor pilot (powered paragliding)
i go to fly every other weekend with my gear.
3/4 times a year i go out of city to remote areas for flying.

i booked revo V 2019 and now its in the showroom. after it came out i changed my mind and went for turbo RS due in july,.

so the reason i came here is to get second opinion from the experts here was it the rigt decision or not:

you guys would be wondering why i changed my mind from revo to turbo again:

i changed my mind to turbo RS because of the drive quality/comfort/price. (provided knocking issue is fully resolved since i will be using hi octane mostly). i did test drive revo and was impressed aswell. (not as comfy as civic though)

i can attach a hitch bar and put my paramotor on a civic aswell ..as i have been doing this with my 2013 civic easily. plus if i need to go out of city for flying i can always rent a daalaa 2/3 times a year. that thought kept me away from spending extra funds on revo and going for civic instead.

with revo putting my paramotor/paraglider and otehr stuff is ofcourse so easy. but then again this all can be done with a little more effort with civic.

so is it a right choice guys??

Civic rs turbo is indeed a good car and even I started drooling when I saw first saw it BUT as you said that you go to remote areas so I don't think civic would be reliable car in remote areas especially if they have rough and rocky terrain.Another point is that don't buy civic rs turbo too early.First let other persons buy and then see what happens.Maybe knocking issue is still there because company won't say that knocking issue is still there.They have to sell their product so they will try to hide its flaws where possible.Thats my opinion.Some experts may guide you better.Hope I helped.

There's no comparison of Revo & Civic in any possible way. Full world exists between north and south pols. Vitara is better in comfort and still comes with 4wd option and much better ground clearance than Civic. Altis is better than civic for outdoor due to some better suspension for outdoors, Hi-Octane availability across Pakistan is a bit of challenge. BRV is higher in ground clearance while lower in price and better in comfort compared to Revo.
If you're an outdoor guy, you must try new horizons too; don't limit yourself if you can afford. - Revo or Vitara can help you explore more.

Go for Corolla-Altis if not BR-V.

thanks for the input. i like outdoors but in reality i only get to travel such places 3/4 times a year . my office route is 2.5hrs daily commute which was one of the drive factors aswell which led me to civic.
revo renting options seemed good aswell.

A "daala" can never replace a "family" car
or be a daily runner (unless of course u r a thaikadar)

i keep telling my friend to buy plastic guns n keep them in his daala
as we already look like security guards travelling in it

anyways Turbo civic is fun to drive and own
(The rear seat aint much fun though, still better then double cabin trucks around though)

If you daily drive is 2.5 hour then turbo is the best buy Revo will be a hell of uncomfortable and heavy on petrol plus 3-4 times off road visits only in a year rent can be a good option and lastly after the software update no knock from past 2 years not a single even on pathetic naran petrol that only lead to heavy car feeling only which would happen to any car plus in Islamabad using 1000 rupee HOBC and rest regular and all is perfect same feeling and acceleration as on hobc.

Both are in different league .

If you need comfort and high ground clearance then evaluate HRV ,Vezel or BRV as you will get both.

2.5 hrs drive daily sounds like hell. How is the route ? Of its something like Gt road, having bikes, trucks and other traffic then for such daily commute I would prefer hilux Revo, if one has driven a 4x4 he know how relaxing it is to drive on Pakistani roads.

If your route consists of motorway or highway with civilised traffic driving the turbo would be a pleasure.

Lastly i am still unsure about civics quality, turbo delivery is in July ? thats again long time to wait

MPVs are the best solution in your case. like suzuki vitara and honda br-v. isuzu Dmax is not a bad option too.

Civic is not meant to drive in remote areas but make ur drive comfortable to travel 2.5hrs. Toyota rolla is better option in your scenario if you like sedan.

New gari hogi apki mashAllah itney paisey laga rahe ho ap. uper se mashAllah traffic ka haaal b pata apko. i would recommend insurance karwa lena gari ki.

I’d personally go for Civic Turbo. Reason being is obviously because it got power and comfort (seats ain’t that comfy though) plus the fuel avg is great too.

I like Revo too and the new engine has great power and good fuel efficiency but the Hilux generation has one great flaw from the beginning till now. Its very bumpy.

Plus I’d like to give you a piece of advice. Go for a used Civic Turbo. You’ll save a lot rather going for a new one. And if you face knocking issue you can simply get it tuned, issue will be resolved and you’ll get power gains too. I recently bought a used Turbo and got it tuned and I’m loving it. Obviously decision is yours to make. Good luck!
