On a serious note; relevant to the subject above, I too own hilux and while traveling on off roads like the badgoi route or from buni to shandur top, I normally reduce tyres air pressure. This is due to two reasons: 1. It increases the grip off road and 2. It reduces fatigue and cushions both the steering and the suspension. For this I keep a tyre pressure guage with me.
I thought that I should share it with you since you are a frequent traveler to these areas.
One thing that I have also noticed is that the tyre pressure which measures 29 psi in Chitral becomes 36 psi when you reach Shandur. In this case experts, advise to reduce the tyre pressure to 29. 36 psi anyway makes your ride very harsh. I normally run air pressure between 20-25 psi depending on driving conditions. Increasing it again to 29 when on motorway/highway.
