Yes the previous owner had locked the fan clutch. I'm going to fix it soon, by replacing the hub with another blue hub. Nowadays I'm not able to visit my mechanic due to my final exams.
This shop doesnt do good work, at best you will get hammered springs and unbalanced injectors.
Suggest me some good person in lahore then. Because there are not much mechanics available who know diesels.
@syncview
is a member here who owns a workshop called project11. He has access to good quality workmanship.
0321 4106898 for @syncview location is bit far so a prior appointment is recommended.
Sure I'll check with him once my finals are over.
I'm back after my exams . Surf's brake was not good, that's why got the brake pads and cylinder changed. Also replaced the tie rod bushes.
Even after spending 10k on my AC system it's not working as it should, It looks like compressor is not working properly. The cooling is kind of average and sometimes compressor's belt makes noise. Service is done, gas is filled and there is no leakage.
I've replaced the compressor's belt and now that noise is gone and cooling is also relatively better.
Glad to hear bro
There was no hood liner in surf, so I asked my poshish guy to make one for me.
what is the material used for hood underlining? if it is resin based and some adhesive is used, it is not good heat will not dissipate, the material has to be compressed fibrous non-insulation
Yup it consists of two layers one the upper side is kind of rubber and base is of a thin foam layer, and some solution was used for sticking it
ok good luck sir
Plz consider what Capsat pointed out about hood, material used can be hazardous, can catch fire, suggesting you to have some research on it or consult some expert.
Ok bro I'll show it to some expert.
Also, changed the fan clutch with a kabuli blue hub, as the fan was locked previously. Till now it's running good but I'm still thinking of servicing it and filling it with new 12500 cst silicon oil, because I've heard some stories that people found STP or ATF in their clutch.
Surf used to reduce its coolant level, I felt that the radiator cap was the culprit, I replaced it's 0.9 bar cap with an original 1.1 bar cap, now this issue is nearly resolved and there is no significant coolant loss. I'll replace tap water with green coolant within a day or two. Also, got it's engine oil changed it took 6 liters with with new oil filter.
Excellent work
Got the tap water drained from radiator today and filled it with Toyota's red coolant.
