Toyota Hilux Surf Kzn130 Restoration

Hello everyone! I've been inactive on the PakWheels forums for the past few years, but wanted to drop in a quick update on my ride.
Over this time, I had its 4x4 system completely overhauled, the 4x4 switch was replaced, the front differential was changed, and I also upgraded the shocks and bushes to restore the suspension. All fluids and oils were changed during routine maintenance. I also installed a new sound system for a better in-cabin experience, and recently got it detailed inside and out. It’s now running and looking great, Masha'Allah. I’ll be sharing pictures of it shortly.
Also, I’ve recently purchased a 2000 Toyota Prado KDJ95, and I’ve started a full restoration project on it. I’ll be creating a separate thread to share the entire process along with pictures and updates as it progresses. Looking forward to connecting with you guys again!

What you did for the interior Noise?

Assalamoalikum, uzair bhai hope you are doing well. First of all I diagnosed all the rattling points by tapping different interior panels with my fist to locate the exact sources of noise. Most of the sounds were coming from loose bolts in the dashboard and armrest console box. I got the dashboard opened and tightened all the bolts properly. In a few areas, like around the bracket of the LCD head unit, I placed a thin layer of foam before tightening, to prevent plastic-on-plastic contact and reduce vibrations. Some noises were also coming from loose headrests in the seats, which I got fixed by a denter. After all these things, I’d say around 80% of the interior noises have been eliminated, and the cabin feels a lot more solid now.

After all this work and years of keeping this gen surf.
Do you think that such an old vehicle can be kept as a daily driver?
Keeping in mind trips to north every 2-3 months.
And are parts mechanical available easily.
Engine parts and Suspension?

Bhai I’ve been keeping this Surf for years, and with timely maintenance, it has proven itself to be reliable. Parts are easily available, and once you’ve sorted out the major wear & tear areas i.e. suspension, cooling, electricals, injectors it becomes pretty hassle free. For northern trips every 2-3 months, it’s more than capable, it's powerful & built for that terrain.

The red pipe is hanging in the air. This is the main reason for your dissatisfaction. Always tell the ac guys to connect red side pipe. No high side pipe values means you have zero clue about how the ac system is performing. If you want any help regarding anything you can tag me here, inbox or even WhatsApp in this regard
