What's average Corolla paint thickness in mils.

93microns and thinnest on doors around 76microns..trunk was found around 110

Thank you! That's weird tho. I checked a mehran with genuine paint and the reading was about 26 mils or 660 micrometer (microns). Why a huge difference? Are we on the same page in terms of measuring units? By mil I mean thousand of an inch.

Bhai i used pdm to measure before getting cae coated by Luxe auto spa

Please excuse my ignorance but what's PDM? I used a digital thickness meter. So it looks like the genuine paint should be 3.6 mils only, right?

Pdm is paint detection meter. Its a digital meter and figures i gave is in microns. Meter was used at luxe auto spa..aka Ahmed yar bhai... detailing guru g

OK I checked a few vehicles over the weekend and found out that the original paint should be between 26 to 32 mils (inside/outside).

That info was for anyone who stumbles upon this thread down the down.
