Toyota Islamabad Motors SUCKS!

AOA,today i had a very bad experience with Toyota Capital,Aabpara isb. I went there to change my GLI spark plugs at 20,000km as advised by them. First i took the receipt for spark plugs(680) n tuning(500) and parked the car on for the mechanical booth.Now after seeing the receipt the main instructor(in proper formal clothes)went to get the plugs and ordered the mechanic guy to pull out the old plugs. After pulling out the plugs the mechanic guy told me that these plugs will run max 5000km more.So i asked him to put these old plugs in the trunk.And he said "OK SURE". So the instructor came back with new plugs and asked me to go and do the payment:| WTF!!!payment is done in the last as i always do...but he said its lunch time so u have to get gate pass.Anyway i went,cleared out the payment and came back within 2 min. As i came back i saw my car being reversed by the instructor,i asked him wats the prob? He replied "SIR UR CAR IS READY":|:|...oooh GOD howz its possible????? Anyway i asked the instructor where's my old plugs?He replied "SIR WOH TO MUJHE CHAHIYE THEE APNE GARI KE LIYE,IS LIYE MEIN NE RAKH LIYE HAIN" :@:@:@ thats bull**** I asked the mechanic guy that i told u to put the old plugs in car..he said sorry sir i m just putting them in packing and giving it to u.At the same moment when the mechanic guy came to put the plugs in car,instructor ordered him to put those plugs in the car(as he thought i was not listening)and the mechanic guy replied "these plug r ok too...unho ne konse dekhne hain,dosre udher parde hain".And the instructor parked my car outside.Now i was sure there some "DAAL MEIN KUCH KALA..haha". Anyway i checked the old plugs in the car..and wat i see was that the plugs were full of oil with different codes. Took the plugs and straightly went to complain on the reception and the reception person called the GM.So he asked me whole issue and asked me to bring the car back in to the same booth and called the instructor.And asked him to open the plugs(instructor ko to kuch samjh nahe aarahe the aab kiya karoon).As he opened the plugs 2 were new and 2 were old(cleaned n installed),and i also asked him that its not ur right to keep the old plugs without owner permission....Now aab aage kaam GM aur instructor ka tha(instructor ka to rang he ure geya tha). Anyway i got all 4 new plugs and old one and a SORRY from instructor.But sorry doesn't matter to me.The thing matters is to get the right service and original parts which u paid for. But i think the best satisfied service u will get is in basement workshop of toyota Islamabad motors.The main supervisor in basement is good(Y)(Y) and i never had any type of prob before in basement workshop. Anyway guys,plz do check ur car at the spot, especially in toyota isb motors upper workshop.Sorry its too lengthy but wanted to share it with u guys.If anyone having same experience plz do share!! Thanks

sorry to hear about ure ordeal, but i never trust anyone with my car.. dosent matter if its as simple as changing the plugs or swapping an engine... and a mistri will not steal from u as long as u adequately pay for his services.. but thats my own limited knowledge

That is REALLY messed up. They cheated you out of 2 plugs?! That's real low...

Alteast you caught them yaar. Keep paying attention- stuff like this could keep happening and it's up to us to detect it since it won't ever stop!

and by the way that Toyota Islamabad guy is bloody Theif is always sells his stock cars on Premium and apart from premium he charges the buyer for an extra cost which is transportation.

in pak neva eva trust any body ....there iz sum serious genetic prob wid pakis ...in toyota rawal same thing is happend 2 me with replacing of front bearings of my corolla...

basically in pak even in multi national companies ......the culture is pakistani ....u cant trust there chaps

Bytheway bro where i have written that i was sitting in the waiting room like "BABU SAAB"....they did this when they asked me to do payment as its lunch break and u will need GATE PASS.i replied i will do it later as i was standing by my car but the main supervisor insisted me to go for payment n bring gate pass.
But bro thats totally unfair becuz some people cant stand there n give their car to do mechanical job trusting TOYOTA company:P...and for 2 plugs:s

first of all he got scared from the GM but not from "Allah" when he decided to rip you off. Secondly all of these auto manufacturers are the same, their crappy products sell themselves and they dont have any concept of customer care and support.

Over here just dont give them an opportunity, always stay on their a$$es no matter how much it bothers them. I never ever give them a second to cheat

Xain bhai where you take your Altis for regular maintenance. It is more than three years that I go to Toyota Islamabad and I am not at all impressed by their service or expertise. Also had a couple of visits at Capital but same story.

But the dilemma is that other than these 3S dealers, I am reluctant to trust anybody in the open market. Can find a good mech, but will never be sure about the quality of parts, lubricants, filters etc.

@Mohzsin. I am using the stock plugs and they have no issues even at 30,000 kms. Just get them cleaned after every 10,000 kms.

MY advice: Never ask for tuning if car is running good, it is most likely that these guys mess up the tunning. I have been doing periodic checks and maintenance regularly, but never allowed them to touch the tuning coz my car is still giving me 14km/lit in city and 17+ on motorway.

Fortunately I didnt have to go to the mechanics very often.Beside Oil and Filter So far I have only gone to the mechanics thrice for following 3 things.
1- To change the Brake Pads
2-To change the Transmission Oil
3-To change the Plugs.
For the Transmission Oil I went to Toyota Islamabad who tried to put the wrong oil type which I have prevented.
For the other two things I have used a Mechanic whose workshop is in GawalMandi. The name of the Mechanic is Mushtaq. He is very reputed in Engine OverHalls.
However For the Plugs I have bought them myself after consulting the number from various sites. For the Brake pads I bought them From Ejaz Autos Saddar and get them replaced from Mushtaq.

i always stand by my car and never leave it alone in car workshop!!!!

our company had booked a corolla 2.0 D from that showroom which promise delivery in max.15days and we got tyhat delivery after 40 days.

Here are my thought.
I understand most of you went through this ordeal with Toyota Dealers.
I also understand talking to the GM wouldn't solve problems in the future for other customers? Right? How to once and for all resolve it?
Here is a solution. It worked for me with KFC, and might as well work for Toyota. People who have complaints. Send them directly to Toyota Head office in Japan. Use Google to find their information. Describe your complaint, and see how their services improves.
I had made complaint about the KFC Islamabad to their headquarters the USA. Within 24 hrs I got apology email from them, and call from the head office from Capola Group (KFC owners in Pakistan).
One complaint wont solve the issue, multiple complaints from various customer will definitly do something about the problem.

there is a reason we are all here, it's to help each other out about cars.it's sad to hear this story but the reality is that this kind of suff happens every day in pakistan. all mechanicsare theives and 99% of them don't even know what they are doing.

today i removed and cleaned all theplugs on my 1303 and though a normal mechanic would throw them out i just cleaned them and refit them and they were working a treat (gaps were fine).

i think you should go speak to amir about this as this is beyond acceptable. and next time i suggest you go stand by the car yourself.
