Toyota Land Cruiser 60 Series to 80 Series Bodyswap

Hello, I plan on purchasing a 60 series chassis this month for a project. I just wanted to ask, is it possible to place an 80 series body on it? I saw one for sale on OLX a while back which was a 60 frame with an 80 body. Could this be done in Pakistan without cutting the chassis?

Before the implementation you need to know the Govt laws prevailing for such activities.

The exact body swap is allowed, as well as modifications in the body where the shell remains the same.

Whereas the body shell of different years be it same series of production is not allowed.

Is Body Change Legal?

I have talked to quite few people all say yes its legal. One of my friends was travelling from Quetta to Karachi in his Crown (body change) and was stopped by Quetta Custom. They told him to Pay Rs. 25000 in Quetta then only its legal. My Friend checked with Collector of Custom Karachi, he told him it’s legal but if you want to drive in Quetta you have to pay them Rs 25000 to 80000 as Duty/fees.
