Well, axg is the basic model where as zx is the fully loaded one. Maintenance is cheap, not very expensive. Atif a land cruiser axg gives u an average of 5 km/ liter in city & 7.5 on motorway if its brand new. Its engine consumes 10 litres of engine oil. Resale of this vehicle is good but due to highly supply in the market people tend to buy new ones, so you will face a loss of few lacs after some years. As its your first experience so i wont recommend you this vehicle. Its very fuel thirsty. A lot of people buy it then sell it after a few months. If you want something durable, something you would love to drive, buy a 2006 vx limited land cruiser. It gives a fuel average of 8 in city and 9.8 almost 10 on motorway with ac. Very cost effective. Its diesel. I have kept both of them and i liked the 2006 model more. If you are going out with family for shopping you have to waste 2k on fuel in a land cruiser zx just to take a short round. If u have a high source of income, i.e owning a plaza or you are getting rents from a few houses so then it would be an Ok thing if u buy an axg or zx. Monthly few costs of zx is 30k and a 2006 will cost you 14 to 16 k. Sometimes a zx will give u a fuel average of 3 km.
