Toyota Mark x 250 g or Civic 2013

I'm bit confused in both of these cars. My range is 20 lac. i've driven both of these cars and felt mark x more comfortable, road grip, pick etc. But the issue is that i dont know how this 12 years old car will gonna treat me in future regarding maintenance.
Car will be used as second car so no millage issue.

Civic eyes closed Mark X is no doubt a great car way better then civic in terms of comfort and performance but its not wise enough to buy a 12 year old abused car.

If you could find an immaculate Mark X then don't even think of a civic, since it will be serving in secondary role so you could drive it on clean ways. I bet you would love Toyota Mark X.

@AffaanAlAziz1 First i will search for the mark x. Any idea about the ncp mark x, its easy to get ncp car in good condition, low millage and than clearing the car legal work etc.

Toyota MARK X is a customs magnet. 85% of Mark X on roads in Pakistan are on fake papers.

FAKE papers processed for clearance under amensty from KPK & Balochistan registered in Karachi Lahore & Islamabad. Such Mark X are sold out of province of registration at irresistable prices.

mark x mostly r with fake papers .. as @capsat pointed out .. mark has no stability as compared to civic .. complex electronics in most of mark x .. buy, only if u can handle it .. u r in which city ? civic is newer and simpler so a better choice .. i did the same

Same report i got from my brother in law who used to change cars more frequently. I am surprised he used to have an immaculate Mark X 250G 2 months ago and just sold it @ 16 lac after using it for 6 months.

Go for CIVIC all the way.. With markX you will face problem for parts/fuel economy expensive maintenance & overall poor resale.

Is a 2001 corolla more reliable then 2013 corolla if you are buying from a open market?? If you don't know the past of a car how can you be sure if it will not break down during time of emergency now its a separate case if you have owning a 2001 corolla day 1 but most of the people don't care about the car don't change lubes etc so buying such an old car from the open market is quite risky then buying a few less year old car. I hope you get my point.

Mechanically there was no issue with this specific car but it was having random showered panels. Don't kniw whether amnesty cleared or Geniune import.

Its hard to find an immaculate X. Papers can be verified i don't agree with the paper things......key point is stay away from amensty cleared cars.

if you want a daily runner then stay away from mark x no matter how immaculate that car is it would surely give problem which you cant aford to have if its a daily runner but If you are buying it for occasinal usage like going out with friends and enjoy your ride then only mark x is your car.
I might sound quiet odd but i currently own a lc v8 2013 and civic 1.5T but i still dearly miss the drive of my mark x and would love to own it once again.

u have no idea on extent of fraud .. registration office verified, cplc cleared yet fake documents .. buy such car and in a short timr FIA will come after u.. i got saved by chance .. one more person i know bought such car and in few months his car was confiscated by FIA ..

That's why on a safer node i also recommended by preferring to buy oriel instead of Mark X . The only thing which can be trusted is self import or a car imported by a close acquaintance to whom you know that he genuinely imported by himself.

Sir, can you please elaborate how these fake papers are processed by the respective provinces and cleared?
Also, how can these be verified / caught?
