AoA... an expert advice is required...
a few days back, engine shut off and did not start. after getting checked up by ,echanic it was found that there was no fuel in tank, but there was almost more than a quarter was present as per fuel display. anyways just filled up and car started..
then upon detailed inspection it was found out that there are two parts of fuel tank, and both have separate fuel gauges. now in my case although fuel was there in second tank but was not coming to first tank which has fuel pump.
fuel pump only has one electric pump inside for transfer of fuel to engine and there is nothing except a pipe which connects both tanks but with open tank covers it does not transfer fuel interchangeably. may be there would be some vacuum mechanism to shift fuel on both sides.
so can anyone explain about this and if i change fuel pump, will it solve the problem???
regards..
