The behavior of the shocks of a Toyota Mark X depends on the terrain you're driving on.If your Mark X has the electronic shocks, it will have a softer ride on lower speeds as compared to the standard Mark X with the regular shocks. On higher speeds, the electronic shocks will stiffen (make the ride a bit hard) to allow the driver to have a better feel of the road and to improve the handling on high speeds. A Mark X with the standard shocks will have a softer and slightly wobbly ride on higher speeds due to the shocks not stiffening. All cars with soft suspension wobble at high speeds. The Corolla has a softer suspension as compared to the Civic thus it does not handle as well as the Civic on high speeds.
On regular speed-breakers or bumps, a Mark X with the electronic suspension will absorb the bump and you will feel it less bumpy as compared to the standard Mark X with standard shocks. @capsat, @ser_gtr
Asalam o alaikum Akram salman, thnx for enlightening me on the shocks issue.
it means that the shocks of the X I'm talking about needs to be checked from some expert to see if they are fine or not.
will ask the expert opinion on other issues if they arises.
thnx all once again for ur valuable input.
dear Akram salman,
i sent u a message, did u get it?
Yes, I did and thank you. Sorry for the late reply as PTCL internet is very slow, even 4MBs that is. My name is Hader Aziz, I used my dad's name when I made my ID here on PW
thnx dear and noted for future!
electronic shock absorber ? it is something new for me . unless you mean electronically controlled suspension in a vehicle which is not part of Toyota Mark X line up; to my knowledge toyota Mark X variants are equipped with double wishbones coil spring independent suspension in front and multi link coil spring independent in rear.
well u can term it as electric shocks etc but the experts can throw some light on the point you have raised.
Assalam O alaikum, In the quest of a Mark x, So far following three are of note : 250g Sports (Auto parking, push start, black room). 250g standard. (Auto parking, push start). 300g Premium. Full options All above cars are considerably well kept (not 10/10) and have their plus and minuses and will require maintenance on purchase and may range from approximately 100-200k to bring it in top notch condition as a Mark X should be!! Needs ur suggestions with pros and cons on above cars, thnx
300g premium n than 250g sports
Asalam o alaikum all,
Mwanwar,, thnx for suggestion.
Can Anyone share his experience about Mark X tyres! I mean keeping in view the motorway high speed driving, weather and road condition of pakistan, which brand of tyres and specification are best suited for vertiga rims (probably 18" inch size) are recommended??
will appreciate ur comments,plz
Wailkumusalam go for traction A and temperature A tyres of any brand
can u explain the traction A and temperature A? and where they are written on the tyres? what could be the ideal specifications?
Comments on 16" vs 18" rim size ,,,,,,,,,pros and cons?
Always go with size written on door for rims
Temp A and traction A tyre can go to speed of 240 plus I have lost that table which stated all figures for tyres and its written on front of tyre where siZe n other things are written
ok,but how need to know the effects of 16" & 18" on road clearance and durability on poor road conditions,,,, as i heard that pits and broken roads effect rims in 18" size?
I have 18" only issue is noise on broken roads otherwise no issues road clearance is really great infact I find more comfortable in x than a Honda rest when u convert suspension to sports mode response is too good it looks like car is stick to the road with a glue
Always keep in mind x is a mixture of saloon n sports so if u want pureeee comfort go for crown or e class crown has same engine but different suspension. However x was made on Lexus platform
Hey Guys, So I have a 2005(Nov 2005) model 300g premium (Vertiga edition as they say).. It has push start, auto parking etc .. but the auto parking is not working, anyone has any idea how to diagnose it ?
Also anyway to switch off the irritating passenger side seat-belt beep off ??
What's the issue in auto parking(its a parking assist remember that it does not park by itself)Get a seat belt clip and put it in belt buckle but if somebody is sitting on the seat he should wear the seat belt
Does ur vehicle also has AFS?
Yes bro it has AFS & works very well at night on curves, for auto assist I saw some videos on youtube on how its used but i believe maybe the sensors on front & back of the car are not working properly as I put it in reverse, click on autopark but nothing appears on the screen (in the video it shows the left, right arrows should appear for selection of where you want to park like ahead of the car of behind it etc)
Change its setting from ur pannel somebody might have disengaged parking assist if u have the manual that will also help u to activate it
I dont have the manual, whatever i found on the internet is all in japanese .. even the pannel is in Japanese so dont know how to check for it on there..
Also do you know where I can get a new remote programmed & made ? The current one is not in a good nick & dont have any spare one bro, plus any idea on enabling the sensors on door panels to work ? Thanks soo much for your input
