Guys!!

I am making this thread again as on my previous thread no ne was bothering to comment...

I have a simple question which oil is better Toyota Petron or any other toyota oil vs caltex havoline vs zic ..

Please suggest me good brand for cuore 46000 km drive 2008 model..

Also suggest me good Gear Oil toooo

Since no one is answering you , i`ll give you my feedback . Also do search the forums , there is plenty of help available .

I use Caltex Havoline 20/50 in Both of my cars . One being a 96 Honda Civic and the other one is a Charade . Oil change internal for the Honda is 5k Kms and Charade is 500Km . Even after doing 5k in the Honda , the Oil still remains fresh and sticky .

I have used Zic and did`nt liked it . However never had a chance to use the toyota motor oil .

as for gear oil, what grade is recommended in your owners manual? 90? 140? other?

Go for any brand like ZIC, CALTEX, TOTAL, SHELL, PETROMIN etc. They are all good as long as they are original. Also i think 20-50 viscosity is likely to be more suitable for a carby, 46000 run Cuore.

go for 5w-30 caltex, ENOC or 10w-40 Mobil, Castrol Magnatec, ENOC, Shell etc.

for gear oil may use Liqui Moli or ZIC,

I had used Toyota Motor oil but then shifted to Zic a Plus...ZIC is much better....
