Assalam o Alaikum,
I have Toyota Passo 2011 2WD with 130k on the odometer. Since 2 months, I am facing a problem in the Brake Pedal. Whenever I cross a bump, speed breaker, cat eyes or a pothole, the brake pedal gets floored. Then if I park the car and push the hand brake pedal to engage it and then release it, the brake pedal comes back to its normal working.
I have got the following checklist done:-
- Checked master cylinder/ servo cylinder and it had spots in it so got it changed. First got one from Bilal Ganj and it showed same issue so bought a brand new original part and installed it. Issue is still there.
- Changed disc pads and brake shoes (not related but informing). Issue is still there.
- Got the brake bleeding done and changed the fluid to Seiken Dot 3. Issue is still there.
- Got the ABS serviced and again got the bleeding done. Issue is still there.
- Rear drum adjusts appeared worn out so got them replaced. Issue is still there.
- Scanned the car and there is not electronic fault in the sensors. Even had a reset of each sensor but issue is still there.
The only thing remaining is changing the ABS but again I have no assurity if it will resolve the issue. Please guide me as it is very annoying as I dont trust my car brakes now!
