I recently bought a Passo 2013 /15 which has done 131ks. We have found a few issues and here is the list of them. Normally not a fan of these transitional technology cars so looking forward to experts opinions.
1) The engine is very Noisy, sounds like a charade (If you know the sound of that) our preliminary diagnosis was that the catalytic convertor is either choked or broken down. This was later confirmed : Catalytic broken down and a desi Jaali installed.
This is also causing a static value for O2 sensor (Most likely tampered with) being shown in ECU data.
2) The transmission is behaving erratic / later confirmed by computer data that the gear 2 and Gear 3 (I know its a CVT but to simplify the ECU divides them based on ratios) is being skipped by the transmission in both the gear ascend and decend. Causing the car to shift erratically in to a knocking position or cause significant engine breaking while slowing down / Coasting.
Our preliminary diagnoses was that the previous owner used ATF oil instead of CVT (which my mechanic think isnt the case) and the mechanic says the oil seems new.
We did the engine / transmission calibration as well but at the moment that didnt help at all.
We intend to check the transmission sump and clean up the buildup as well as change the transmission oil filter if required.
