Well Actually Boon Does comes with the Armrest AKA Sofa Seat My Next Door Neighbor has the Exact Same Car which is referred in your above mentioned Link the Only Diff is It is a Dihatsu Boon !!

Hello Folks,

So let me introduce you to my Silver Toyota Passo 2008 - I call her Elegant Beauty! Feel free to suggest me a better name

Since I have bought this ride, I have fallen in love. This car is just beyond words. Very smooth in drive, very elegant and spacious inside. And since there is a Honda City at home too, I can confidently say Passo has a more spacious and more elegant interior. Heck, even the new Swift has got nothing in comparison with this car.

Not to mention fuel economy! I was already getting about 15 km/L in the city, now this Saturday, I just went and got the engine oil changed (to ZIC A+), and the oil filter and the air filter (genuine Toyota - total cost ~ Rs. 2000). Also got seat covers made for the interior and washed / cleaned / disinfected the AC's air filter (unfortunately replacement is not yet available in the market). Next saturday - have scheduled for transmission oil change with Toyota 3S.

From this week now, I am going to subject this beauty to mileage tests and will report weekly averages - this week's target: main road city driving with AC on.

And Rocker111 mate - do ask your buddy in Japan about the owner's manual - I am sure there will be an english version available. Daihatsu Sirion is a similar model, however the options differ somewhat from Toyota Passo - mainly in that the 1.0 L model is only available in manual transmission, so the automatic ones from Japan will have different performance specs. And neither has a manual available anywhere online.

Clean Ride MashAllah !!! just wondering where is the roof Antenna ? I have seen mostly with an Antenna just like Vitz 2003 till 2008 .

Ok I guess i can get a glimpse of that Antenna at the conventional Driver side Door !! My Mistake :))

Yes the antenna is on the drivers side. Its in the center only in the Sirion make (UK, NZ, AUS market).

Can one install CNG in Passo ? does it work fine ?
Im asking because never found a good answer on PW
My families daily running is alot (about 40-80 for me/family and 80-100 for my dad) so petrol's not feasible for us !

In Passo racy version it is in the center....theres a spoiler too in it

i have the same dvd as shown in Hashims post.
it needed a software to play the dvd
the guy fm which i bought the car had the cd and he did the software for me
then the video was working. the quality of picture and sound is awsome

hello, a have e sirion 998ccm, 08.2006,my sirion goes to, 9 to 100 km, well above book service gives. in manual, is 6 in town and 4,5 out town
it is common that difference?

I am thinking Continental Tyre Size 175/80/13 ( 6600 rupees per piece in islamabad) ..

@MohsinJ ... Could you please mention the prices of oil filter and air filter. Is the parts exactly same as vitz's .

The oil filter and air filter are the same as vitz. They both are around 150rs each. total cost of oil + oil filter + air filter was around 2250Rs.

As far as i know, the fm bandwidth can only be changed by changing the whole software of your dvd navigation system...
i am facing problem as my dvd navigation system doesnt run video format...it only runs audio ...its kind of disappointing.....i think its a map disc problem...
my dvd model# is nddn w56 ...Mohsin are u able to watch video ???

Yes i tried running a dvd but the dvd was not in a good condition. still did not even get a glimpse of video. will try again. i have this same model in my car. it ran audio cd without any problem. map disc will only be required for navigation system. i guess a software update will be required to make it work. did not find anything useful on the internet.

bought @ 7000/pc
ride is much soft and grip also very good

I own a 2006 model passo. It is giving me avg 11.5 km/ ac and 13 km/non-ac. I have changed engine oil,oil filter and air filter. Any idea how to get better mileage? (I drive with light foot speed 60/70 km)

well the fuel consumption will increase definitely by switching to the continental size ...esply in city, the consumption will def. increase....following is a useful video for reading tire size:

I just changed tyres of my passo to yokohama 185/65/14 DB decible , these are gr8 , not much difference in fuel , these will also incerease height of your car.

As far as i know , the stock tyre size is 175/65/14 , i found this size in a manual of Sirion

Hi all, This is really a very informative thread and thank you all for the valuable information you guys have accumulated. I Recently bought a 2009 model Toyota Passo in Lahore but its not giving as good an average as has been mentioned in this thread. Believe me I am getting only about 10.6km/L in city with AC. Should I replace the air and oil and air filters first and also the engine oil or should the first step be throttle cleaning by Toyota 3S dealer? Also, can someone guide me in locating the transmission oil gauge location?The navigation and DVD menu etc. are in Japanese. Any chance of changing to English one?
