Ok guys i have a query about the radio antenna for my 2007 daihatsu boon.
When i bought it; the antenna thing at the back part of the roof was missing. Only the mount was there but antenna was missing. I got that FM frequency thing installed through which i could get all channels on the limited 90 japanese frequency but the reception was not good.
Went to a shop; asked them to install the antenna. What they did was remove my old setup for holding the antenna by actually breaking it. Installed their own antenna but did not connect it to the roof by a metal connecter or anything. It is basically an antenna type thing installed on a rubber kind of mount and held together via nut bolt.
When i asked them about no connection; they said this antenna is not for radio. According to them it is only for looks :s. My question is where is the antenna for this car? And if the antenna is actually what i think is the antenna then what is it connected to? The reception is still bad. Showed it to someone else and he said the reception will be like this. Nothing can be done about it and he also said that the top antenna is not connected to anything.
How does it relay the signal? I am confused please guide.
