So my passo (2011) just completed 100k. What kind of maintenance checks should the mechanic perform ? Any help would be appreciated. Plus a good mechanic in isb/rwp. Thanks

Coolant flush
Transmission fulid

Another problem that is bugging my passo is since day one. (A year now) Its when the car is between 30-40 kph there is a noise coming from the engine, its like the car is in a lower gear. If I press hard, quite heavily, on the accelerator it goes away, or If I change to "S" instead of "D" it goes away.
This happens mostly when the car is cold. Got it checked but both mechanics could not figure out the problem. Any suggestions.

It`s fuel knocking. Remedy 1. "S" mode in city drive. Remedy 2. Cold Plugs as suggested by Saboor73, but not explained yet.

Not really. Its like the sound when some cars make if their belts are a bit loose. (chhr chrr :), that description hehe ). I hope you got it. But the thing is its only between 30-40 once its above 40 its okay. Maybe the car need to be in higher gear ? Also it goes away once the car is warm enough.
I am getting 16-17 kmpl on regular petrol in city, so I am getting quite a good avg. Still this noise bugs me

Get ur engine belt tightened as well as greased by a good mechanic. it will disappear.

as for as going through previous post u need to put 14 size rims in ur car for road clearance. i think factory fitted in 2012 comes also in same size . dont know about tyre size ,,, check previous post, lots of info about it

Bro, i have installed 185/70/13 for the same reason and road grip also.

I have used this size in Passo 2007 and now in my 2011 Passo, i hvae instaleed the same size tyres.
