Passo 2015, 34k on ODO (10k driven in PK)

I'm now noticing mild vibration in steering, arm rest, and door. It was quite and had no vibration earlier. Got plugs serviced along with oil change recently, but vibration is still there.

Throttle body service is required I'm assuming? Please suggest suitable place to get it done in Isb.

Yes do a scan job and also do the throttle service if not stable after service get the electrical load tested on the vehicle. Scan job would reveal the actual situation.

Raja sb. can you please guide what is electrical load test, I am also facing same vibration problem with my car after refueling it just once from Babu Sabu interchange. I hoped that the problem will disappear once the 2 number petrol is finished but apparently it has done something to the car permanently.

You had to have access to toyota techstream to get the load testings done

If you are sure that it started happening after refuel, then you need to clean the throttle body and it will get better immediately.

@raja I already have it V10.30.029, how do i do load test because in my case when i do health check it is only showing me 2 errors for ABS system saying foreign matter attached to sensor. Could you guide where i get the load test information from?

Also I have still be unable to connect the nexpeak OBD device to the car ecu for some reason.

my car driven 120-130k reduced a little oil as i shifted to 0w20. What could be the remedy? is there any major issue in engine?
Mechanic says older engines need thicker oil after which he says it wont reduce oil

Hi everyone. my Passo hana has a problem. whenever at a speed >90, I apply brakes a little hard, a severe rattling sound (tak tak tak tak in fast mode) appears and steering wheel also vibrates. I am going to get it checked today but please quickly reply what could be the problem in PW expert opinion. no sound at any other speed or applying brakes a low speed.

This is ABS kicking in.... all normal , no need to go to any mechanic....

No sir. I know what ABS sound is like. ABS works at extremely hard braking. In my case, it looks like something in suspension is making sound. not sure what... I apply brakes slightly harder than normal.

not necessarily, it can work as per grip and slipage. ON NHA especially at 90kms if your tyres are less gripy or worn out. it will become active early trying to stop from skidding. Plus if the car is loaded from behind. If still you are not satisfied then go to the mechanic where u used to go often

Have it checked for just in case since it is braking system in question here, there are few sensitive parts that can make the noise. if the noise like damped sound that would be ABS kicking in, if it is erratic repeating sound you have a broken disc/pad, and if it is rattling sound you have a damaged caliper or caliper pin (mind you passo probably has the most sensitive brake pins for some reason they start making noise if the hub is even slightly misaligned). Get it checked just to be on the safe side, generally if it is a serious damage than the ABS light starts to blink anyways.
its not normal but I have seen a cracked rotor (tawa) in vitz aswell so u never know.

mechanic says my disc pads are worn and need to be changed. Oversized tires might be the issue for early worn of disc pads. I traveled with same condition about 700km this week and rattling sound was still there while braking at high speed. I verified it from another friend whether it was ABS kicking in or not and he also said that this is not the sound and behavior of ABS. So I am gonna get pads replaced soon. What are the best pads for passo hana and in how much price I'm gonna get those? around 4k, may be??

There are many brands available in market namely:
hitachi
MK
Asuki
Advics
or you can have OEM Toyota Passo (B1081) genuine front disc pad 04491-B1051/B1081

I have personally used OEM, Asuki and advics and they are all more or less same, asuki makes a noise in winters somtimes and advics are a lil soft but breaking distance is more or less same for all three. they all last only 25-30k on normal use in pindi.
