You had pointed a pipe right???
Its EGR pipe for Exaust gas supply to intake manifold to cool down the combustion chamber temperature for optimum performance and suppress the high temperature preignition.

Actually I recently bought a Passo 2011 / Import 2013 and while checking I found this pipe to be welded (I guess) plus its one of the nuts not completely tightened, as shown in the snap.

Is it a matter of concern as the nut is supposed to be fully tight but its not; possibly due to the weld??

Its fine this joint oftenly breaks during disassembly so welding is the only option so its fine and no there is no exaust leakage from here as seen in the picture the joint is properly seated and tighted

So it means engine is already disassembled for overhauling purpose?? Is it a matter of concern? My car has a current mileage of 73k Km, what engine oil should I use? Previous owner was using 5W30 and mileage was 13~14 km in local city with AC. When he handed over the vehicle I noted oil level at the mid of max and min. My mechanic advised to use Zic 10W40 and after 500km still oil level is at max but my mileage dropped to 9 km within city without AC. What might be the issue? Should I switch back to 5W30? Which company? What if oil level again drops?

no its welded because some one has taken off the catalytic converter for servicing purpose.

Economy of 1KR-FE drops when used high viscosity engine oil.

Assalamualaikum Dear brother
I have passo 2005...engine was heated up due to fan closer...I checked through mechanic but he said no problem with gasket..but it again gave heat indicator on 130 km mileage...I am using 50 km daily without problem except the hose pipe swelled. I am of the opinion that the there is problem with gasket...At starting my daily journey I daily check for water in radiator and when I ignite , it gives foam like bubbles
Pl suggest way out of the problem

I have just bought a 2010 Toyota Passo Hana which has clocked around 146000km. The exterior body and the interior is good but the engine pickup doesn’t seem to be all that good! I also observer vibration. In the engine and the car wobbles and strange sounds are made by ten suspension! My question is that is it possible that I could fully restore my car or have ended up being fooled and with a car which shall remain a headache for me till I get rid of it somehow ??

Yes it can be brought back to normal specs with no noise at all contact at 03005220091 RehmanAutos if you are in rawalpindi or islamabad.
