I have now installed new headgaskit..i have also changed the oil to valvoline 20w50.. After that i am getting knocking sound in my engine.. Can any 1 tell me.. What can be the problem
check if there is any oil residue in the radiator and water residue on the oil dipstick! what is your mechanic telling you!
Yes there is oil residue in the radiator.like deposits. Which the mechanic say will eventually get clean with the passage of time as i have to clean it every morning for some days as all the residue are collected on th top of raditor where the cap it. But there is nothing in oil dip

Yesni have change the upper leaked tank of radiator.. The mechanic said the yes 5 w20 or 10w40 should be used it in these cars but the engine of my car is weak so 20 w50 is to be used..i am in rawalpindi/Islamabad so there is a bit cold weather here.. Fans are working auto.. And thermostat is removes by mechanic as he is saying that radiator is a bit dirty with deposits which is showing on top. Of raditor.. He said to clean the raditor by opening the cap for some days.. Afyer 7 to 10 days he will put the thermostat back againAnd about the last thing m not sure.. When i got the headgaskit reatored and engien was completely packed.. The engine light was on.. The code was p 0340 which the mechanic flushed with computer.. And almost 4 5 days have passed it hasnt came back as the mechanic said that whole of the engine was taken out so that y code appeared
Ok the dtc was recorded right after the head gasket installation then it can be caused due to oil not pumped up in VVTI cam hear which ussally do happens after engine is disassembled. So no need to worry about
No oil residues mixes up with the coolant 1kr is designed that way look for other deposits like plastic shards or any thing else
@rajaatta will vist today inshallah
and I have yet to see one single person in Pakistan unlock the cam phaser (paalish dibbi) when tightening it on camshaft nose. Its actually a recommended procedure by toyota to prevent stuck cam phaser if the mechanic decides to tighten it with a 3 ft long power bar.
Yes true
A bro on pakhweels mentioned this problem and his problem was solved once he shifted to 5w30.He visited many people but his problem was never solved.
You can contact him and ask him, how it was fixed. +92 331 5521599Nawazish
See your information tells you're using wrong oil grade, no tstat will kill the engine ASAP. Always make the basis perfect before solving any problem.Tstat, 5w30 should be placed immediately
I think each engine has its own requirements.. Like 5w30 oil is to be used for healthy engine having mileage of 80k or less and after that 10w40 r 20w50 is used
@dani_kk
No the low viscosity can be used till engine done 200k kms but if the engine has severe smoke and noise then use the high viscotiy
Yes true 5w30 is max viscosity bit if you have severe oil smoke in the engine then for temporary expansion of engine life is advised to use high viscosity. The permanent fix is engine rebuild.
No this is just the hysteria created by jahil mechanics and some people. In reality aisa kuch nai hai.
High viscosity is never recommended by me, if your engine rings go bad, I advise for rebuild. But I don't suggest to run the car on high viscosity lubes.
