AoA, I am planning to restore Toyota Landcruiser Prado 70 series (92 model) in mint condition. Your valuable guidance and suggestions are required with regard to changing headlights, indicators, front grill, side mirrors, paint job, interior renewal (seat covers and matting etc). Also recommend the person from whom i can get these things in Rawalpindi. Thanks.

Can you make it simpler for us? Where to get a new body? How to obtain permission? Any taxes?

FB & other forums have all the ncp cars listed. Take your vehicle there or get them to deliver to your doorstep. Body has to be bolt on, same series, same vintage ( not a 2018 on a 1998 thing), only chassis and the VIN (Tikli) will be retained. After BC, request excise to change the engine number. That's it. Rest just cluck on the search button and type body change, lots of reading material.

@sardarg. Boss I always try to give advise as "Amanat". Having owned an LC80 for past 11 years, I know apart from 4-6 outfits, rest are all scammers. Original parts cost an arm and a leg. Most of the newbies abandoned the project within the first three months when they have to face the "Khawari" and reality hits that whoah!!! Toyota parts are NOT CHEAP!!
I have great respect and admiration for SameiDogar who undertook this project but it's not everyone's cup of tea. With ALL DUE Respect, I atleast am not in Taiwanese/Chinese/Kabuli parts.
This trend of "Restoration " seems and sounds very romantic, but the 1 hour videos on YouTube don't justify the months actually spent in bringing these Toyota Dinosaurs back from Coma. Just look at the DIY of the guys at 24/7 Australia, Shaunao & Jock and others. Can we do it ourselves? Do we have those "Barns" with hydraulic lifts and torque wrenches etc? No we don't. So two options
Option 1
Buy a highly maintained vehicle from an enthusiasts who has had ownership for atleast 3-6 yrs, pay 10-15% premium, pay additional 0.5 million for post deal maintenance and enjoy.
Option 2
Buy a chassis/bucket of bolts with complete excise, import docs, only retain Number plates, VIN & Chassis, and put a new body on it with engine, interior, suspension etc
