Had a simmilar issue in my Premio as well. my model is 2008 facelift version with 1NZ-fe 1.5 liter engine. Back in 2023 when travelling towards lahore from karachi. We faced a simmilar issue in which RPM would not go over 2000-2300 and could not exceed 80 KM/H. After showing it to a mechanic in sukkur he said that it was a failed fuel pump which made the car go into limp mode. After fixing it RPM increased and car went back to normal except there was a delay in response time. Just like your car would hessitate to increase RPM. Then when we came back to karachi our mechanic changed our CVT oil with Nissan NS-2 CVT fluid and made 2 setting VIA OB2 tool. First was something called zero point callibration and another was gear recalibration. After this our car was smooth as butter in every aspect.
