Toyota Premio or Civic Reborn?

Dear All,

I have a choice between the 2 cars mentioned above, please find below the specs of each:

Toyota Premio,Dec 2007, On papers also 2007
2012 import and 2013 regd,48,875 kms on ODO
Car is in red colour,1500cc, G superiors grade
Beige interior,push start,after market tv,back view cam,multi steering,
Car is on original paint,1 owner,has 16" rims,no work what so ever except front right side shock mounting to be replaced, costing around 10K. Owner was demanding 2125K,has agreed to sell it for 2025K. What say?

Honda Civic Vti Oriel Prosmatec with original TV Navigation and back view cam,
2010, regd 2010, 3276kms on ODO
Car is in Albaster Silver Metallic,
16" Yokohama Advan Db tyres and some good after market rims,
Offered the guy 1750K,he is saying 1900K as final.

Which of the 2 cars should we purchase? I like the red colour of Premio plus it Japanese build whereas the Civic is practically new.

Advise will be much appreciated.

the price of the Civic is high.....Premio is a good option overall...much better drive quality and reliability....

JDM Premio & Axio with CVT are considered FAILED due to lack of skills at local workshops in Pakistan.& scrap yards does not have supporting parts.

The CVT fluid in Premio & Axio is often flushed wrong with an ATF causing great disaster with transmission and fuel economy drop is attributed to engine failure which seldom go bad.

test drive the Premio & ask for maintenance history, if ride is fine transmission response is smooth shifting ( remember CVT lack KICK-SHIFT ) Go for Premio

U already offered best price for civic if he agrees than go for it otherwise premio if u dont want to discuss any 3rd option.

Just to add if u r ready to spend 2025+ lil maintainance for premio than u can get vti oriel pt 2012 new shape civic just by adding lil more amount

Stay away from both cars. Civic is a fuel guzzler, JDM Premio is a pain when it comes to parts other than maintenance which are very very expensive.

Stay away from both cars, because both are USED and you don't know how they were used or abused. The owners must be fed up to sell them.

Get a new car in the budget you have. Lagay dum, mitay gham.

Seeing as it is that most of the votes were for the Premio, bought the Premio ALHAMDULILLAH.
The car needs tuning, plus it has 205/55/16's on it. Front tyres are continentals and used whereas the rear ones are brand new and by some Raptor company. Anyways, the ride is quite stiff. I think its cz of the tyres. Suggested tyre Civic. size, as per the sticker on the pillar is 185/70/14. I am quite surprised, but what would you guys suggest? Which size to go for? Should I go for 15"s?

Will post pictures of the car soon. The red is actually very nice in comparison to the red of the City & the Civic.

70 profile tires will be much more comfortable than 55 profile tires. Stock size tires also give a smaller turning radius and lower steering effort. If I were you, I would go for stock size tires.

Buy brand new tyres for it Yokohama or Dunlop! And if its the old shape premio then get the Altis OEM Rims for it thay look really nice with it !

The Premio is good to drive,but perhaps due to the stiffness of the tyres I am not enjoying it. I got the car back today after tuning,much better drive then earlier, but I suppose since I'm used to driving an 1800cc Reborn, maybe I'm not getting the feel of it.

As for the tyres, I believe that if Igo for the stock size, the set of rim and tyres would cost me more then changing the tyres on the 16"s. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thinking of changing the tyres because the car looks good on 16"s. Still I'm a bit confused.

Nonetheless I have placed an ad for the sale of our Premio on Sunday, if any one is interested then do let me know.
