Toyota Premio or Civic Reborn?

Seeing as it is that most of the votes were for the Premio, bought the Premio ALHAMDULILLAH.
The car needs tuning, plus it has 205/55/16's on it. Front tyres are continentals and used whereas the rear ones are brand new and by some Raptor company. Anyways, the ride is quite stiff. I think its cz of the tyres. Suggested tyre Civic. size, as per the sticker on the pillar is 185/70/14. I am quite surprised, but what would you guys suggest? Which size to go for? Should I go for 15"s?

Will post pictures of the car soon. The red is actually very nice in comparison to the red of the City & the Civic.

70 profile tires will be much more comfortable than 55 profile tires. Stock size tires also give a smaller turning radius and lower steering effort. If I were you, I would go for stock size tires.

Buy brand new tyres for it Yokohama or Dunlop! And if its the old shape premio then get the Altis OEM Rims for it thay look really nice with it !

the ride stiff ness was due to the low profile oversized 205's

my premio came with 195/65's . never had a problem.

people here have this bad habit of throwing away stocks and switching to NOT recommended 205s and then complain stiffness and hard steering .

anyhow, i would never recommend buying a locally used JDM unless you knew the history

I've owned one and once you have driven it and enjoyed the drive there is no going back.
Most common maintenance parts are available in market easily. Special parts require time/money for availability

I cant comment on Civic, generally are good cars baring PKDM I dont understand here the non existing issue with maintenance or parts of Premio. I imported one after waiting for current civic launch and almost 3 years ago and alhamdolillah its going fine it has regular service and oil change plus one CVT so far until next one is due.
CVT oil available at good oil shops, anyone buying CVT should know the difference between AT and CVT type of transmissions and specially its now officially launched with local Corolla range too, it shouldnt be an issue. CVT oil needs to be changed after 40K or so interval.
Other parts available on stock if not these can be ordered.
Its a shame that a JDM car manufactured in 2007 still surpass newly built local lot! in an real world it wouldnt even be compared but sadly thats a fact.

Congrats for the new car but one thing i am sure is the odo of premio is reversed. The readings you said was near to impossible. A car driven 5 years in japan usually or average is around 100k or the lowest I have seen was 60k.
I hope it's not in your case.

Prime reason for personally selecting set of cars online with higher grades, bidding/winning it and then import it, was to avoid odo reversing. you can buy cars with under 10K mileage too if you wish! plus where did i mentioned the mileage? I said CVT oil needs to be after 40K or so interval. if i can remember correctly car had 37/38K when imported, CVT oil changed at i think 45 or so. its driven less than 5 a year at present!

If it has a verifiable auction sheet, hands on Premio, otherwise leave it, mileage wise it would have done well above 100k Kms if its not backed with a verifiable auction sheet
