Toyota Prius 2012 G Sports High Fuel Consumption

Dear Readers,

I have recently bought Prius 2012 GS with a perception of fuel saving. But regret to say that the first tank in city gave me 12 km/l and on highway i got maximum of 13 km/l.

I don't under stand the issue, whereas before purchasing, it got it checked on computer which gave no error or problem.

can any one help in diagnosing the real issue??

I hope you're driving carefully and not gunning it like its an F1 car. Also, do get the catalytic converted checked. A choked catcon results in low fuel average.

How much has the car run so far and has its battery fan been serviced ever ??

Do check on the periodic maintainence. Oil change, plugs, Air filter, Oil filter and alignment and balancing of the car.

cat converter is the 2nd step.

Also get the ECU reset and throttle body cleaned.

Than check for milage and opt for good fuel from a reputed pump. if you are in isb go for PSO F8.

On purchasing time they reset the devices & battries which does not give error for several hours but for sure you need to replace the battries
